Meet Howard Green, a master archetier from Scotland who has created bows for some of the world's famous violinists including Cho-Liang Lin and Rodney Friend.
The Howard Green Silver cello bow is a finely crafted bow designed for cellists who value precision, balance, and dependable tonal response.
Made with a high-quality pernambuco stick, this bow offers excellent resilience and a controlled, responsive feel across the full bow length. The bow is fitted with a classic ebony frog with silver-mounted fittings and pearl eye, reflecting traditional craftsmanship while ensuring durability and stability. A silver winding paired with a leather grip provides a secure, comfortable hold and refined balance in the hand.
In performance, the Howard Green Silver cello bow produces clear articulation, smooth string contact, and focused projection, making it well-suited for orchestral, chamber, and solo repertoire. Its balanced camber supports nuanced dynamics, clean string crossings, and confident bow control.
