Product Description

The Stefano Marzi Cello Model G. B. Guadagnini 2026 brings centuries of Italian lutherie tradition directly to the modern stage. Inspired by the iconic patterns of Giovanni Battista Guadagnini, this instrument is meticulously handcrafted to deliver the acoustic performance, visual elegance, and tonal nuance demanded by professional musicians.

At the heart of its sound is an exceptional tonewood selection. The top soundboard is crafted from slow-grown spruce sourced directly from the legendary Paneveggio forest—the very wood favored by master violin makers for centuries. The back, sides, and neck feature flame-figured Balkan and local Italian maple, offering brilliant projection and structural stability.

Guided by the expertise of the Vettori family, the cello is finished with a specialized varnish formulation drawing on historic Bisiach family traditions. This rich finish not only highlights the natural beauty of the wood grain but also allows the instrument to vibrate freely, producing a deeply expressive tone with crisp response and immense dynamic range. The Stefano Marzi Guadagnini model stands as a premium choice for soloists, ensemble leaders, and serious collectors.
