The Pierre Guillaume Viola Sakura Bow Gold Mounted is a remarkable testament to the exceptional craftsmanship and artistry of Pierre Guillaume, one of the finest contemporary French and American bow makers. Guillaume's dedication to his craft is evident in his training under renowned masters such as Bazin, Morizot, and Ouchard, who passed down techniques that have been refined over several centuries.
Drawing inspiration from the traditional French bow making technique, Guillaume has developed his own unique style. His bows are meticulously crafted using a combination of rigor and traditional French techniques, with frogs made from materials such as silver, ebony, or nickel.
The name Pierre Guillaume has become synonymous with unwavering commitment, unparalleled bow-making quality, and authoritative appraisals of antique bows. His workshop, Maison Bernard, located in Brussels, Belgium, is a renowned destination for esteemed soloists and musicians from Europe's most prestigious orchestras, including the Vienna Philharmonic, the London Symphony, and the Berlin Philharmonic.
The Pierre Guillaume Viola Sakura Bow Gold Mounted exemplifies the pinnacle of Guillaume's artistry. With its gold-mounted frog and meticulous attention to detail, this bow not only showcases visual elegance but also offers violists a superior playing experience. The combination of Guillaume's refined craftsmanship and the use of premium materials results in a bow that delivers exceptional tonal richness, responsiveness, and control.
